7Mikaela Shiffrin celebrated her latest win with one of her biggest fans.
Having already clinched her fifth World Cup Slalom title, Shiffrin dominated in Are, Sweden.

Mikaela and Emma
Double Olympic champion Shiffrin met 11-year-old Emma Lundell in Are in December 2012 after her first World Cup Slalom victory.
And Lundell, now 16 and recovered from leukaemia, hung out with her idol after Shiffrin’s latest victory.
The pair spoke to the media together with Lundell hailing Shiffrin as “an amazing inspiration”.
When asked if meeting her helped with her recovery from illness, Lundell said, “Of course. She gave me energy. She was just like, ‘Carry on. Keep fighting’.”
An emotional Shiffrin said meeting Emma has made her “a better athlete and better in every way”.
“I met Emma when she was really very ill. It makes me feel like if I’m healthy and I have these opportunities, I have to take advantage of that because there are people in the world who cannot.
“Her attitude even having such a bad disease, she was still a light in this world. I can never understand how people are like that because I would be such a bad person to be around.
“If I ever feel bad about something, I can think about Emma and think, ‘Yeah, I guess I should shut up and try to enjoy it because I’m still so lucky’.”
